Reston Hoops Programs

Reston Hoops offers different basketball experiences across the year. Start with the overview below, then visit the individual program page for current registration, schedules, eligibility, rules, and season-specific information.

Winter

Winter House Basketball

House Basketball is designed for athletes who are new to the sport or want to refine their basic skills in a friendly competitive environment. The current program is open to boys and girls in grades 1–12.

Fall / Winter

Select / Travel Basketball

Reston Select Basketball participates in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League and provides a more competitive level of play than the House program. Participation is tryout based. A greater commitment and travel throughout Fairfax County are required.

Summer

Summer League Basketball

Reston Summer League Basketball welcomes athletes who are new to the sport or want to strengthen their basic skills in a friendly competitive environment. The league is open to boys and girls in grades 1–12.

TopCourts

Basketball For More Athletes

TopCourts is for boys and girls ages 6–18 with physical or developmental challenges. The program helps athletes learn basic basketball elements, skills, and concepts in a supportive setting.

Select Basketball

  • August–September: tryout registration
  • October: tryouts

Summer League

More Than Games On A Schedule.

Reston Hoops depends heavily on local volunteers to coach, organize, and support league operations. Paid referee opportunities are also available to eligible officials with prior basketball experience.
